The 68-degree apparent viewing angle helps to offset the disruptive hand shake that often occurs when using 10x and higher magnification optics. This means that stabilization equipment such as harnesses or tripods is not necessary when using high-magnification binoculars, although such devices can still enhance the experience.

Leica employs SCHOTT HT extra-low dispersion (ED) glass, specifically designed to improve light transmission in the blue-violet light band and enhance color fidelity and low-light performance. The durable High Durable Coating (HDC) and the hydrophobic AquaDura coating on the outer lenses provide scratch and abrasion resistance, while also repelling water and oil for easier cleaning and better vision. The roof prisms are equipped with P40 phase correction and proprietary High Lux System (HLS) coatings, virtually eliminating chromatic aberration for increased color rendition, contrast, and overall sharpness in images.

Designed with user comfort in mind, the lightweight yet durable chassis is made from magnesium alloy and features a titanium center hinge axle that is resistant to wear. Further enhancing its functionality, the optical tubes are nitrogen filled for fogproof performance and sealed to withstand submersion up to 5m or 0.5 bar of pressure. The binoculars also feature ergonomic thumb indents and protective rubber armoring for a secure and comfortable grip. Additionally, the lubrication-free focus system and PETP-Discs ensure fast and precise focusing, even in a wide range of temperatures.
